FURNISHING the Self -Upholstering the Soul
October 29th - November 25, 2006
So…we’re chilling out on Friday night in Manhattan’s newest jazz venue, Rare’s Lexington Lounge. We’re enjoying the fine sound of the Lounge Lizards, when the guy at the next table asks, “Didn’t I see you yesterday at…”
Pace/MacGill gallery, where we enjoyed the opening of David Byrne’s witty and intelligent solo exhibition (see the Short List). It turns out that he and the drummer with the band are also members of (yes, he’s that David) Byrne’s band. Perfect start to a weekend - music, new friends, and the art of living in Resolve40’s New York.
The Lexington Lounge is located in the Shelburne Murray Hill Hotel at 303 Lexington Avenue at 37th Street. Jazz nights are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 to midnight.
